About the adventure
🪐 Lost Universe: A Solarpunk Mystery on the planet Exlaris
Long ago, the vibrant alien world of Exlaris was known for its devotion to knowledge, harmony, and innovation. Its people—scholars, scientists, and mystics—discovered how to harness the energy of the vacuum itself, a mysterious cosmic force drawn from the invisible web of dark matter that binds the universe. With this “magic,” they healed their world, lifted cities into the sky, and unlocked the secrets of reality.
But then came The Breaking—a cataclysmic event 350 years past, when a drifting black hole tore Exlaris from its orbit and flung it into the interstellar dark. The world should have frozen and died… but it didn’t.
A secretive coalition of genius minds and vacuum-benders—known now as the Circle of Light—built planetary shielding using terrifying amounts of vacuum energy, mimicking the warmth and climate of Exlaris’ lost sun. Their efforts saved civilization. For this, they are remembered as heroes.
Today, Exlaris thrives as a rogue world: self-contained, radiant, and powered by tech so advanced it seems like magic. Information is (mostly) free, curiosity is sacred, and innovation reigns. But beneath its glimmering biodomes and solar forests lies a secret older than the shield itself—an ugly truth protected by lies, silence, and the long shadows cast by immortal minds.
And now… you’ve arrived.
By accident or design, your party has been teleported to Exlaris—strangers dropped into a world of shimmering cities, starlit jungles, and radiant technology. But before you can find a way home, you must navigate a web of hidden agendas, malfunctioning vacuum tech, and ancient secrets that some will kill to protect.
Something is wrong with the planetary shield.
Someone is meddling with the power source of it all and endangers the entire ecosystem on the planet.
And someone else… may have brought you here on purpose.
Will you uncover the truth before Exlaris falls into darkness once more? Or will you get lost in this entirely foreign planet?
